TERMS AND CONDITIONS
This Escape Safari Co. competition, run in association with Melvill & Moon, Tswalu, Tracker Academy and KEEP (Tswalu Foundation) is offered subject to the terms and conditions set out below.
WHEN WILL THE COMPETITION TAKE PLACE?
The competition will run between 01 December 2020 and 15 January 2021.
All entries received after midnight on 15 January 2021 will not be eligible for entry.
The winners draw will take place on Friday, 19 January 2021.
WHO CAN ENTER?
Entry is available for any persons over the age of 18 years old.
Entries from all over the world are allowed.
HOW TO ENTER?
Entrants must follow the directions set out in the competition terms below:

Once there, entrants must complete the online entry form and fill in all the required fields for tracking purposes.

Entrants are required to pay a donation toward the Tracker Academy and the KEEP (Tswalu Foundation) to be eligible for entry.

THE PRIZE:
The prize comprises of a 7-night journey for 2 people, including a 2 night stay at Cabin du Cap, a 2 night stay in the Tankwa Karoo and a 3 night stay at Tswalu Kalahari Reserve. It also includes various other prizes stated below.
The prize is valued at a total of USD30,000 (ZAR450,000):
2 nights at Cabin du Cap
2 night in the Tanka Karoo National Park
3 nights at Tswalu Motse for 2 pax, including a morning spent with both the Tracker Academy and K.E.E.P researchers.
Return Transfer from Cape Town to Tswalu in the Melvill and Moon Limited Land Rover by Escape Safari Co.

All entrants will have access to a live Zoom chat with Alex van den Heever from the Tracker Academy, where he will provide more information about the organisation, where your contributions will be used and many tales from his years working in the bush as a guide and tracker.
CONDITIONS OF TRAVEL
The winner of the competition is required to make their own travel arrangements to get to Cape Town, South Africa, where the journey will begin.
Flights and travel to Cape Town on arrival and from Cape Town on departure are not included in the prize.
The prize is not exchangeable for cash or other forms of credit and no refunds will be issued for the value of the voucher if travel plans are cancelled or altered. All costs above the value of the Prize including any change or cancellation fees are the responsibility of the winner.
If the winner is interested in adding more guests to the trip or additional nights/locations, they may do so. This process will be managed by Escape Safari Co. and additional fees will be incurred.
ANNOUNCING THE WINNER
Following the Prize draw, the winner will be notified using the contact details provided by the Entrant. The winning Entrant has 48 hours from the time and date of the notification being sent to respond, provide proof of eligibility and claim the Prize.
If the Prize is not claimed by the winning Entrant within this time frame, the Prize will be redrawn and any previous winners will forgo all claims to the Prize.
The Prize is valid for 12 months from the date of the competition draw. The Prize must be redeemed by the Expiry Date.
The redemption date for the Prize is 19 January 2022. The Prize must be redeemed no later than this date or the Prize is forfeited in full.
All bookings are subject to availability at the time of booking and at the discretion of the lodge depending on levels of occupancy. All applicable booking terms and conditions apply by the accommodation supplier and Escape Safari Co.
This Prize will be deemed fully used once a qualifying booking has been made and confirmed to be available. The Prize will not be reinstated, refunded or replaced, even in the event that the reservation is cancelled or changed.
Changes or Cancellation will incur charges from suppliers. The winner is responsible to pay any such charges and the Prize cannot be applied to any additional costs associated with changes or cancellations to the original booking requested by the customer.
There is no residual value and no credit will be issued if the booking amount is less than the Prize amount.

The Prize is not transferable, exchangeable, replaceable or refundable for cash or credit and can only be used as specified.
The prize may not be transferred/offered or sold to a third party in any way.
If the winner is unable to redeem the prize for any reason, the prize will be re-drawn and a new winner selected.
All taxes, fees, charges and surcharges applicable to the booking, including, without limitation, gratuities, extra persons, all drinks, laundry services where applicable and other charges are applicable to your reservation, and this Prize cannot be applied to them. These charges must be paid at the time the reservation is confirmed or to the property directly and are the responsibility solely of the customer.
The Prize cannot be applied to any costs or miscellaneous fees charged by the suppliers of the prizes.
Terms and conditions of this offer are as written and cannot be changed by any representation of any unauthorized person, including employees of Escape Safari Co.
The Prize is void where prohibited or restricted by law.
Proof of age and residency may be required to claim the prize and is at the discretion of Escape Safari Co.
Escape Safari Co. reserves the right to change these terms and conditions without notice and at any stage during the competition.
Escape Safari Co. reserves the right to cancel this competition without notice and at any stage during the competition.
Other Terms and Conditions: Prize Winners must comply with all the normal terms and conditions connected with booking through Escape Safari Co. including, without limitation, our website Terms of Use and any terms and conditions imposed by the Accommodation Supplier.
OTHER TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Escape Safari Co. or its employees will not be held responsible for any mistakes or discrepancies contained in any competition.
In the event that you win a prize you will be requested to consent to the publication of your name, image, and the use of your details and photographs by Escape Safari Co. in marketing material and for marketing activities, for which no fee will be payable to you. You are entitled to decline such consent.
Escape Safari Co. will not distribute any of the personal information supplied to any third party, without the express written consent of the individual.
You accept the offer that your participation in the competition, and your acceptance and/or use of a prize, or any aspect thereof, is at your own risk.
Any violation or attempt to violate any of the above terms and conditions will result in the immediate disqualification of the participant or entrant.
By participating in any competition hosted by Escape Safari Co., participants further agree to be bound by our booking Terms & Conditions.
Except for any liability that cannot by law be excluded, including the Non-Excludable Guarantees, Escape Safari Co. (including its respective officers, employees and agents) is not responsible for and excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of: (a) any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under Escape Safari Co.’s control); (b) any theft, unauthorised access or third party interference; (c) any entry or prize claim that is late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected (whether or not after their receipt by Escape Safari Co.) due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of Escape Safari Co.; (d) any variation in prize value to that stated in these Terms and Conditions; (e) any tax liability incurred by a winner or entrant; or (f) use of a prize.
Escape Safari Co. collects claimants’/entrants’ personal information in order to conduct the competition. If the information requested is not provided, the claimant/entrant may not be able to participate in the promotion. Escape Safari Co. will not disclose this information to anyone other than contractors who provide services to Escape Safari Co. for the purposes of conducting this promotion unless compelled or permitted by law.
